I have 20 years of coaching experience with both competitive and recreational figure skaters.  As a competitive figure skater I was a 2-Time International Champion, the 1997 US National Junior Ladies Bronze Medalist, International Junior Grand Prix Finals Competitor, a 4-Time US National Competitor, an Eastern Sectionals Champion at both the Junior and Senior levels, and a New England Regional Champion at the Intermediate, Junior, and Senior levels.  As a member of the US Figure Skating Team for 4 years, I had the amazing privilege of representing the US at international competitions held in interesting countries around the world at a young age.

As a skater, I trained for 9 years under World and Olympic Hall of Fame Coaches Evy and Mary Scotvold who are most celebrated for coaching Nancy Kerrigan and Paul Wylie to Olympic medals. In the figure skating world, the Scotvolds are acclaimed as the world's top masters of  jump and spin technique and choreography of their time.   I started my coaching career in the fortunate position of serving as the Scotvold’s Assistant Coach for 4 years, teaching the specialized jumping and spinning techniques that they trained me in over the years to their competitive and elite level skating students. I have have gone on to coach a number of skaters over the years from skaters taking their first skating lesson through regional, sectional, national, and international competitors.  I also currently serve as Head Coach of the Harvard University Figure Skating Club Team.

Off the ice, I am educational consultant, am an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and hold a certificate in college advising from Columbia University's Teacher's College.  I also have 19 years of experience in business (corporate development, investment banking, & management consulting).  I am a Director at Shiboomi, a Boston-based corporate development & strategy consulting company and enjoy mentoring startups at the MassChallenge accelerator program.  Through this work I have been fortunate to have traveled the globe working with on projects in a wide array of industries and sectors around the world.

I graduated from Harvard University in 2003 with a BA in Government with a focus on International Relations and Economics.   While at Harvard I co-founded the Harvard University Figure Skating Club and was a member of Harvard’s JV Women’s Ice Hockey Team.

I have served on numerous US Figure Skating Committees and held USFS leadership positions over the years.  I have most recently served on US Figure Skating's Strategic Planning Committee and Special Strategic Task Forces.  Additional US Figure Skating positions I have held over the years include serving as a member of the Board of Directors, Nominating Committee, Finance Committee, Marketing Committee, Singles Committee, Athlete Alumni Committee, Athlete Advisory Committee, and Sports Science Committee.

I am currently a member of The Elite Edge Skating Club’s coaching staff, am a USFS CER Category A Coach, and am a PSA Certified Rated Professional in Free Skating and Moves in the Field.  I previously was a staff coach at The Skating Club of Boston for a decade and represented the Yarmouth Ice Club as a skater. I also currently serve as the Head Coach of the Harvard University Figure Skating Club.

I live in South Boston with my husband, Gary, and our cat, Cupcake!
